National Junior Honor Society

2007 Talent Show

The Lisbon Central School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is open to students in grades 7 and 8. Students who get on the honor roll and who demonstrate attributes of leadership, citizenship, character and service are inducted into the Society. We promote academic achievement and service to the community in all of our activities.

During the 2006-07 school year they sponsored the following activities:  New London County Food Drive, 1st Annual Lisbon “Can-Struction” Food Drive, Senior Citizen Holiday Luncheon, Christmas Caroling to the elderly, School-wide Talent Show which raised $1400.00 for the Chikumbusso Widows Project which helps AIDS ravaged families in Zambia, 3rd Annual Family Science Night and many other student oriented programs.  One of the NJHS members sponsored his own coat drive in our school, collecting coats and other winter items for the needy.
